先回視覚障害者のキー操作の話の中で「タッチタイピング」という言葉を使いました。
「なに？ブラインドタッチじゃないの？」と思った方いませんか？
本当は「ブラインドタッチ」と書きたいところをあえて「タッチタイピング」を使ったのです。
キーボードを見ないで文字を入力することを最近は「タッチタイピング」というそうです。
■なぜ？
ブラインド（blind = 盲目）という表現が差別的だと指摘されたことから「タッチタイピング」という言い方になってきているのだとか･･･
・・・「ブラインドタッチ」という言葉が和製英語であるからという説もあるそうです。
視覚障害者のヘルパーでパソコンにも詳しいＨさんにそのことを話すと「しょっちゅうブライドタッチって言ってたよぉ」とびっくりした様子。
・・・それを聞いてほっとした私でした。
■同じ「ブラインド」・・・
某24時間テレビでウリナリ芸能人社交ダンス部のメンバーが視覚に障害のある方とペアを組んで社交ダンスを練習しているのを見ました。
調べたところ「第1回全日本ブラインドダンス選手権」（世界初の大会らしいです。）に出場したのだとか・・・。
ブラインドダンスとは、目の見えない方々が、健常者とペアを組み踊る社交ダンスのことだそうです。
これも同じ「ブラインド」
言葉って難しい・・・（汗）
